FAQ

Yoga for pregnancy

When is it safe to begin pregnancy yoga?

You can practice from weeks 15 up until 42 or beyond if you’re still comfortable

What do I need to bring?

You will need your own non slip yoga or pilates mat available for under £10 from Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda or TK Maxx, also you might want to bring a bottle of water, some socks and a jumper to keep yourself warm during the relaxations.

What if I can’t make it one week?

You can use your 5 classes as and when you feel like it; all I ask is you make me aware by 2p.m. on the day of the class so I can fill your place off my waiting list.

Baby Yoga

How soon can I bring my baby to a baby yoga class?

You can begin baby yoga once you and your baby have had your 6 week checks by your GP and you feel up to getting yourself out of the house!

My baby was premature/has special needs, can we still attend?

Baby yoga is essential as well as very beneficial for premature babies and those with special needs so long as they are able to support their own heads and can track you with her eyes.

What age baby can I bring along?

It is designed specifically for babies before they become mobile but there are classes available elsewhere for crawling and toddling babies which I can direct you to.

What do I bring with me?

Bring a cosy familiar blanket for your baby to lie on during the class and a favourite (preferably silent) toy for them to look at or play with at times whilst you are relaxing, any changes or feeds required and a yoga or exercise mat (which can be left with me)
