Yoga has been part of my life since my mother used to practice it in front of me as a child. I had been actively enjoying classes myself for over 10 years when I became pregnant with my 1st daughter in 2007; the natural progression for me was to explore yoga for pregnancy. This enabled me to have not only a fit and healthy pregnancy but an easy and active birth experience.
As a new mum I continued down this path exploring baby yoga with Biba for 7 months learning how to safely handle and exercise with her also being able to relax and de-stress. After finding Yoga so beneficial and inspirational I went onto qualify with the British Wheel of Yoga and then Yoga campus to become a registered pregnancy yoga teacher in 2009.
After enjoying 2 years of teaching I became pregnant again; enabling me to deepen my knowledge of yoga in pregnancy by teaching whilst being pregnant myself, reminding me of the needs, demands and challenges of the ever changing pregnant body. Nancy came along in June also highlighting the fragility of the post natal body and the lack of classes available in my area.
Now with 2 yoga baby girls and a few more qualifications under my belt you will find Baby yoga and Post natal yoga underneath the Budding Bellies umbrella along with Pregnancy yoga.
